Pepperpassion also writes:

"Mar-crest...it doesnt have the history of McCoy or Hull or all the other fancy potteries.. it was a beloved workhorse... and made for ALL of us. Who ever would have thought it would be so precious to us today? I think it isnt so much the pottery but the secure and happy memories it evokes... Lazy days in the breakfast nook with the cupboard filled with Mar-crest...

Stuffing made and served at Thanksgiving family style... regular Sunday dinners with two veggies in the divided dish. ( potatoes one side and peas/carrots in the other). A casserole in the Dutch Oven... I think you get the idea... ITs all about our family ties and roots.... SIGH."
