Adopt A Dog

Pet Adoption

Question:  Seriously! Why in the world would you put an Adopt A Dog page on Mar-crest.com?

Answer:  Why not? Maybe it will save the life of a dog. If you're looking for a pet, do some research first. Rescue dogs can make the best pets! They will, no doubt, appreciate the individual or family that welcomes them into their home with love. Hundreds (if not thousands) of homeless dogs are needlessly being euthanized monthly. Save the life of one of these fur babies by giving them a loving, forever home! Then pass the word to your friends.

You could locate a reputable breeder of a specific breed of dog, and pay a lot money for your little poochie with papers. That's all fine and good. Especially if you want to be a breeder or have show dogs. But please do NOT buy from a Puppy Mill or Pet Shop. Puppy Mill's don't have big, flashing neon signs out front that says, "Puppy Mill". Nor would they admit to being one. Google "puppy mills" and know the signs to watch for. It's heartbreaking at how those animals suffer at the hands of greedy, uncaring, selfish owners who only want to make a buck. Please, rescue a pet. You'll be so glad you did.

Save a life. Remember - pets are people, too!

Penny was a rescue. I found her through Petfinder.com.
Penny has now finally found her forever home.

Recently (and quite accidentally), I came across the Petfinder website. That's where I found this pretty little young lady pictured above. "Penny" was rescued from a high kill shelter. While I don't know her history, it's apparent she was not in a loving environment. But now, I'm happy to say that Penny has finally found her forever home. She is very happy (as are we) and is much loved!
