Marcrest cookie jar, appx. 50 years old, in appearingly unused and excellent condition. No chips, cracks, flea bites, stains, etc. Outside and inside glaze is so shiny, it looks like a new jar. There are some minuscule size pieces of extra clay that were glazed over, seen in the pictures. The lid has a 3/10" long, 2/10" wide and about 1/20" glaze bubble pop on one side, pictured at the 6:00 position. The other white spots are from my lighting.
Cookie jar is 8" tall, 9" tall including lid. Note the style of this jar. The lid fits INSIDE the top of the jar on an inner lip. Harder to find (and most likely an older style jar) than the Marcrest cookie jar where the lid rests on the very top. Quite a lovely displayable and usable jar.
